| Name: | Akai Ringo (AU) |
|---|
Character: Akai Ringo (Akai being her last name, Ringo being her given name)
Series/Fandom: Tokyo Mew Mew
Original or Alternate: Alternate
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Species: Human, although she is also combined with Mew Aqua
Sexuality: Assumed Heterosexual
Appearance: Ringo is about Four feet and three inches tall, and weighs about sixty-six pounds. Her reddish brown hair is straight and goes down slightly lower than her neck. She wears a small red bow closer to the front of her head. Her eyes appear to be either Red or Brown, depending on how the light hits them.
She normally wears a red hooded short sleeved shirt, underneath a sleeveless shirt that is horizontally striped green and yellow, with a red apple in the middle. She wears a little pink pouch around her waist, the actual pouch part shaped like a penguin. The skirt she normally wears is short, and made out of blue denim.
In terms of Footwear, Ringo wears red sneakers with white trim, white laces and a little bit of yellow as well. Her socks are white with a red stripe at the top, and a red apple on each side.
No matter what it is that she is wearing, though, Ringo always has a pair of medium sized, white, angel-style wings poking out from her back.
Personality: Ringo tends to be quite shy, although she is also quite sweet, energetic (when appropriate) and helpful. Whenever she can, she makes a point to help people out. She tries to always be supportive of her teammates, and she tries to get along with everyone.
For the most part, Ringo speaks in the first person (in the canon, she speaks in third), although when she’s feeling an extremely strong emotion, she might accidentally speak in the third. Even though she is not related to Ichigo in any way, she refers to the mew as her older sister.
When she is extremely stressed, Ringo tends to find the best way to calm down is to take a walk, generally at night, and through a forest or a garden. She finds that to be very peaceful and calming.
Abilities/Strengths: Because she is combined with Mew Aqua, Ringo has received special powers. Her powers focus on healing and light. Her healing is quite simple - she summons some form of healing energy, and presses it into the wound that she wishes to heal. She needs to come in contact with the person she needs to heal. Her light abilities are her only form of attacking. They are not very strong, and she has barely ever used them, mostly because she doesn’t have much control over them.
Due to her medium-sized wings, Ringo is able to fly for short distances. She is unable to fly much higher than six inches off the ground. She has only attempted to do this a few times, and only uses it when she needs to gain a little bit of speed.
She also is able to communicate with animals, although she’s much better when it comes to forms of birds.
Weapons: Ringo has no form of a weapon, unless you count her light abilities.
Weaknesses: Ringo has no form of a defensive mechanism. Although she is able to heal herself, she has no way to block a seemingly unblockable attack. To make things worse, she tends to be quite unobservant.
Without her pendant, Ringo is practically nothing. When separated from it, she cannot use any of her powers, and before extremely weak. After a short time, she becomes horribly ill, generally ending with her falling unconscious, at least for a little while. She remains in this state anywhere from an hour to three days after regaining her pendant, even if she was only separated from it for a few minutes.
Ringo also has a major fear of being alone. The main reason why she had her pet penguin is because her brother would always be busy and not at home, and Ringo wouldn’t want to be alone. She tries to avoid admitting this fear, but often times she just makes it more obvious.
History: Mew Aqua is considered to be the purest substance in the world (at least in the Tokyo Mew Mew world, anyway). It is light blue in color, and is generally a solid object, sometimes more of a liquid. It is rarely ever seen, as it finds its home in the purest, least disturbed areas of the Earth. But what if it finds the soul of a young girl to be its home?
Ringo and her older brother, Mashio, always lived on the island alone - as long as she can remember, that is. Her parents had died only after she had been alive for a few years. She always kept her mother’s golden pendant close to her. She normally was lonely, since her brother was almost always out of the house, but she kept a Humboldt Penguin named Yuki-Chan as a pet.
At the age of ten, something strange happened. The blue stone on her mother’s necklace began glowing. Ringo was quite scared, but a strange feeling kept her from removing the pendant. She was filled with soothing energy, as she felt two small wings appear on her back. As she soon learned that night, she would not be able to remove the pendant without causing harm to herself.
Two years had passed since Ringo became the first human combine with Mew Aqua - an Angelique. During this time, her wings had grown larger, but it wasn’t until seven guests and their furry, pink, floating robot that she gained her second power.
Ichigo, Minto, Retasu, Purin, and Zakuro, the members of Tokyo Mew Mew were visiting the island with Ryou and Keiichiro, their managers in a sense, would be staying with Ringo and her brother for a few weeks.
The Mews were not the only ones to come. Two aliens had come fro another change to defeat Tokyo Mew Mew, and to capture Mew Aqua in one of its stronger forms - a human soul. Tokyo Mew Mew had Battle Kisshu in the past, but Gateau would be a whole new battle for them.
Kisshu had soon managed to capture Ringo, causing the Mew Mews to have to save their new friend. This mission was a success. Ringo did have her pendant, but for some reason, she began coughing wildly. She then collapsed, and heard Ichigo shouting out her name. It wasn’t long before she lost consciousness, and found herself in Econtra...
